त्यौहार खुशी और समृद्धि के प्रतीक हैं और बड़े उत्साह तथा धूमधाम व भव्यता के साथ मनाये जाते हैं। पूरे भारत में मनाये जाने वाले प्रमुख त्योहारों के अलावा, कई आकर्षक त्योहारों को चंदेरी में मनाया जाता है जिसमें से भूजरियांन, रंग पंचमी, गुरू पूर्णिमा और विमानोत्सव हिंदूओं से संबद्ध हैं, जबकि उर्स, मुहर्रम, गाजे मियां का मेला और शब – ए – बारात मुस्लिम धर्म से संबद्ध हैं।

Celebrated in the Hindu month of Shravan, Guru Purnima is a commemorative festival in which pupils pay homage to their deceased gurus as well as ones who are alive.

Vimanotsav is celebrated with great fervor and enthusiasm by the Jain community Of Chanderi. It is celebrated in the month of Bhadon by the Hindus while the Jains celebrate it in the month of Kuar.

Legend associated with this festival claims that Lord Ram Chandra crossed Chanderi in the month of Phalgun during his thirteen year long vanavas and sanctified the land.  To this affect, Rang Panchami is celebrated five days after holi in the month of Phalgun on a hill top at Karila.
