The Bhimsen Caves are situated in the village of Gadelna, located 25 kilometers from Chanderi, along the banks of the Urr River. Popular among both Hindu and Jain pilgrims, this site is replete with caves carved directly into the ancient hillsides, which are elaborately adorned with sculptures depicting Hindu deities and Jain Tirthankaras. An inscription dating back to 942 AD has been discovered here, identifying Vinayakapal as the reigning monarch of the region at that time.
