Situated near the Delhi Darwaza, the Mansi Maheshwar is a Shaivite temple dating back to the Bundela era. A 23-line inscription, written in Nagari script in a language blending Sanskrit with a local dialect, is inscribed on one of the temple’s walls. This inscription reveals that the temple was constructed in 1724 AD, and its foundation was laid by Prince Man Singh Bundela.
