This cenotaph belongs to a Christian, possibly a traveller or a mercenary. The inscription on its headstone is in Persian, written in Nastaliq calligraphy, recalls the death of one Yunis.
यह स्मारक एक ईसाई, संभवतः एक यात्री या एक व्यापारी का है। इस क़ब्र के पत्थर पर शिलालेख फ़ारसी, नसटालिक लिपि में लिखा है, जिसमें एक युनिस की मौत की याद है।It mentions the date of death as 16th Jamad – ul – sami, AH 1232, that is, AD 1816 and that the order for the construction the tomb was given by a Colonel.
The headstone is in good condition and is inscribed with a Christian cross. It is located in the Maidan Gali area of the town, near Mughal Darwaza.
इसमें मौत की तारीख उल्लेखित है 16वीं जमाद – उल – सामी, 1232 एएच, यानी सन् 1816 ई. और इस कब्र के निर्माण का आदेश एक कर्नल के द्वारा दिया गया था।
इस क़ब्र का पत्थर अच्छी हालत में है और एक ईसाई क्रॉस के साथ खुदा हुआ है।यह मुग़ल दरवाजा के निकट शहर के मैदान गली क्षेत्र में स्थित है।
